Baby Pets

Baby domestic pets can be acquired by completing pet-related quests or can be purchased from the pet manager with Pet Exchange Tickets produced in each clan hall. Please refer to this page for specific quest information.

Domestic pets eat Baby Spice pet food and possess lower combat ability than other pets.

Once a baby pet has reached level 55, it can be taken to any Pet Manager and evolved into an Improved Baby Pet. In order to do this, the pet must be summoned. In addition, you can only have one of that kind of pet in your inventory at the time of evolution or the Pet Manager will refuse to convert your pet.

Baby pets can carry items and be equipped with weapons, armor and jewelry. And although they have no special active skills, they do have the ability to heal. But like an uncontrolled servitor, they perform this function of their own accord.

Speak to the Pet Managers of Dion Castle Town, Giran Castle Town, and Gludio Castle Town to begin the quests for these baby pets.

Improved Baby Pets

Their name says it all. These cute and cuddly pets are enhanced versions of their baby pet brethren. Possessing similar stature, yet different markings, these pets function in much the same way as the normal baby pets.

The main difference between baby pets and improved baby pets is that improved baby pets have the ability to bestow buffs on their owner. This is in addition to their normal healing powers.

Each improved pet pulls from a specific pool of buffs. Improved Baby Buffalos give warrior type buffs. Improved Baby Kookaburras give Mystic type buffs. And an Improved Baby Cougar gives out mixed profession buffs. Each buff lasts 2 minutes, and the improved pet will continue to give out these buffs for as long as he/she is summoned.

At lower levels, the improved baby pet will only grant 2 buffs on its owner. But as the baby pet gains levels, it will be able to bestow more buffs. At higher levels, the baby pet can grant as many as 8 buffs at a time.

These pets eat Improved Baby Spice and can be equipped with items for better attack and defense stats. Once transformed, an improved baby pet can never return to its former state again.
