Uncontrolled Servitors
Uncontrolled servitors are known as cubics.
They can be summoned by Temple Knights, Shillien
Knights, Warlocks, Elemental Summoners, and Phantom
Summoners (and their respective 3rd class counterparts).
A cubic provides assistance directly or indirectly
during a player's hunt. In order to summon it,
a certain number of crystals and a particular
skill are required.
Summoned Cubic
A cubic is a type of summoned creature that carries
out a specifically designated task faithfully. Cubics perform a variety of different functions, which are outlined in the table below.

Summons a storm cubic. A storm cubic uses magic that inflicts damage to one's enemy. |

Summons a Vampiric Cubic. A Vampiric Cubic uses magic that absorbs the targeted enemy's HP and with it regenerates its master's HP. |

Summons Phantom Cubic. Phantom Cubic uses magic that decreases P.Atk, P. Def, and Atk.Speed of a targeted enemy. |

Summons a Life Cubic. The Life Cubic uses magic to regenerate HP to its owner and party members. |

Summons Viper Cubic. Viper Cubic uses magic that poisons a targeted enemy. |
| Binding Cubic |
Summons Binding Cubic. Binding Cubic uses magic that paralyzes a targeted enemy. |
| Aqua Cubic |
Summons Aqua Cubic. Aqua Cubic uses magic that damages a targeted enemy over time. |
| Spark Cubic |
Summons Spark Cubic. Spark Cubic uses magic that stuns a targeted enemy. |

Summons Attractive Cubic. Attractive Cubic can continuously use hate and hold magic on an enemy. |
| Smart Cubic |
Summons Smart Cubic. Cancels all the bad abnormal conditions which were cast on the master, and uses useful skills additionally. |
Only one cubic may be summoned at a time until the character learns the skill Cubic Mastery (level 1/2). At level 1, the character can then summon 2 cubics at once. At level 2, 3 cubics can be summoned. Please refer to the Skills section of The Library to find out at what levels these skills are learned.
In addition, dedicated summoning classes can also acquire cubic skills that can apply to an entire party. These are known as Mass Summon Cubics. Each summoning class receives one specialized Mass Summon Cubic skill.
- Warlock - Mass Summon Storm Cubic
- Elemental Summoner - Mass Summon Aqua Cubic
- Phantom Summoner - Mass Summon Phantom Cubic
- Cubics remain in the world, attached to their master, for 20 minutes.
- No separate interface window exists. According
to its assigned role, a cubic carries out
tasks according to its own intelligence.
- Along with a cubic, a separate summon or a
pet may be called.
- A cubic cannot perform targeting, nor is it
impacted by any type of attack. However, it
can be forcefully dispersed by dispel magic.
