Lineage® II Lookalike Contest Rules and Conditions

About the Contest

Do you bear a striking resemblance to your Lineage® II character? Can you perform one of the racial social emotes with amazing accuracy? Do you have an incredible Lineage® II character costume? Even if you answered no to those questions, now's your time to shine in the Lineage® II Lookalike Contest! Take a screenshot of an in-game Lineage® II character, monster, or NPC and place it next to a photo of yourself for comparison. Remember that the in-game character and photo must be of you. Enter your best lookalike entry for your chance to win some fantastic Lineage® II items, such as a beautiful Lineage® II art book and a miniature Kamael Arbalester figurine!

Participants will take a screenshot of a Lineage® II monster, NPC, or character and submit it alongside a real-life photo. The in-game submission image must be taken on one of the official servers, and must be in JPG or BMP format. The size of the entry does not matter. If the image is of an in-game character, it must belong to the contest entrant. The real-life photo must also be of the contest entrant, not someone else. All submitted images must be your own, appropriate to the Lineage® II world, and adhere to the Lineage® II EULA.

The winners will be broken up into the following three categories: Best Resemblance, Funniest, and Most Creative. One first place winner will be chosen for each category, resulting in a total of three winners.

Submission Guidelines

One Lineage® II Lookalike entry ONLY per person will be accepted. Please make sure the file format is RGB JPG or BMP format (other file formats will NOT be accepted). The size of the entry does not matter.

All submissions will be judged on creativity, originality, and overall presentation. Your entry must contain a photo of you (you may not enter a photo of someone else) side-by-side with an in-game image to show the comparison. The in-game image may be of any NPC or monster, but any player character must also be your own. You are welcome to dress "in costume", but it is not required.

Copyrighted Materials

PLEASE NOTE: Lineage® II images (that NCsoft® owns) are available for your use. However, you may NOT use any materials that you (or NCsoft®) do not own the rights to for the purposes of this contest. Likewise, taking an image from something that you (or NCsoft®) do not own and altering it slightly then presenting it as your own work is strictly prohibited. You (or NCsoft®) must have ownership rights to every element included in the entry you submit. You must make sure your entry doesn't infringe on any patent, copyright, trademark or other intellectual property right, or any privacy, publicity or publishing rights of any third party, or is not libelous, obscene or otherwise contrary to law.

Prizes

In addition to the prizes below, the Lineage® II Lookalike Contest entries of the three first-place winners will be displayed on the official Lineage® II web site for all to enjoy!

There are three categories with one available prize package for the winner of each (three prize packages total). Each prize package includes the following:

• One (1) copy of the Art of Lineage II art book (Retail value: $30.00)
• One (1) full-color Lineage® II mini poster (Retail value: $5.00)
• One (1) Vintage map of the colossal Lineage® II universe (Retail value: $10.00)
• One (1) miniature hand painted Kamael Arbalester figurine (Retail value: $15.00)
• One (1) Lineage® II North American 4th Anniversary Edition or European retail box (depending on region of the winner) (Retail value: $39.99)
• One (1) Lineage® II Game Time Card (60 days worth of free game time) (Retail value: $29.99)

Eligibility

One Lineage® II Lookalike entry ONLY per person will be accepted.

To enter the contest, as of Friday, September 5, 2008 you must be 13 years of age or older to participate and a legal resident of the United States (excluding the State of Rhode Island, and excluding Guam, Puerto Rico, U.S. territories, military installations and commonwealths), Canada (excluding Quebec) (Canadian residents will be required to answer an additional mathematical question in order to claim their prizes), Russia, or the European Union. Due to legal requirements, European contestants must be 18 year of age or older as of that date, or must have a parent or guardian enter in the minor's name. You must be have a current Lineage® II account with Internet access, an e-mail account, and access to a personal computer as of Friday, September 5, 2008 to participate in this contest.
