The holiday season is upon us! To celebrate the winter festivities this year, Lineage II asks you to use your creative skills in-game and create holiday-themed Adena art. Winners will receive both in-game and real-life prizes.
There were so many amazing Adena art pictures for this contest! It was difficult to decide on the winners, but we are confident that these top 5 pictures are paragons of holiday spirit, Adena art skill, and presentation!

The following is what the contest page was before the winners list was posted.
The real-life items will be wrapped in holiday gift paper and mailed to you, and the in-game items will be given to the winners as soon as the winners list is finalized.

To participate:
- Create your original Adena art.
- Submit your entry as described below.
Creating Your Adena Art
First, think of what you want to depict. It must be holiday-related, but beyond that the possibilities are endlesss: Christmas, Winter, New Year's, and so on.
Log in to Lineage II to create the Adena art. Go to a place in the game that is relatively flat and has uniformly-colored ground. The ground is your canvas. You do not have to choose a flat or plain area as a canvas. Some artists take advantage of preset terrain formations.
Open your inventory window, and drag the Adena icon over the ground where you want it to drop. If you are dragging the icon of a stacked item, a window will prompt you for how many of that item you wish to drop. Choose "1" and Accept.
Continue dropping items on the ground until the dropped items form a picture.
Using the mouse allows you some precision on where you want to drop items, but you can also edit your picture by picking items up and placing them again.
Use different droppable items to create different spots of color on the ground. Experiment and be creative!
Once you've completed your Adena art, take a screenshot. In the screenshot:
- Your character and character name must be visible and legible.
- The full Adena art picture must be visible.
- The screenshot must be 1024x768 or larger. We recommend a high graphics setting.
Submit Your Entry
The entry period begins at 00:00 a.m. (PST) on Wednesday, November 24, 2010. Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. (PST), Wednesday, December 8, 2010, and must be in English. Entries must be emailed to: l2submissions@ncsoft.com and must include:
- This subject heading: "Lineage II Holiday Adena Art Contest"
- The title of your Adena art. (Name your art something other than just "Adena Art".)
- Your first and last name (both real-life names).
- Your Lineage II character's name and server name.
- Your Lineage II account name.
- Your age.
- Your email address.
- Your telephone number. (We will only use this if we cannot contact you by email regarding this contest.)
- Your full street address, including city, state/province, country, and postal code.
- Your shirt size (in case you are a winner).
- This paragraph pasted into the body of the email: "If I am a winner, I permit NC Interactive, Inc. and NCsoft Europe Limited to use my name, likeness, photograph, hometown and any comments which I may make about myself and/or this Contest that I may provide for advertising and promotional purposes. By submitting an entry to this Contest, I accept and agree to be bound by the Lineage II Holiday Adena Art Contest Official Rules and Conditions as displayed on the Lineage II website.
- The screenshot of your original Adena art and your character attached to the email. You may only send one image, so pick the best one!
- One entry per person only.
- Read the Lineage II Holiday Adena Art Contest Official Rules and Conditions. Submissions must follow the specific entry format described above and in the official rules and conditions. A submission that does not follow the entry format will not be considered eligible.
- Entrants must comply with the rules and conditions described in the Lineage II Holiday Adena Art Contest Official Rules and Conditions.
The selection process is split into two stages. First, we verify eligibility of all submitted entries. Submissions that do not meet eligibility requirements are discarded. All eligible entries must have:
- The proper information in the email
- One screenshot of your character and holiday-themed Adena art, size 1024x768 or larger.
Second, we compare all of the eligible Adena art screenshots. The Winners will be chosen according to the following criteria:
- Presentation: How good the screenshot image is as a whole. For example, to be presented well, the adena art and character should fill the screen, and the art should not be small compared to non-related background space.
- Holiday Theme: How well the Adena art conveys a holiday mood.
- Adena Art Skill: How difficult it was for the entrant to create the image, and the level of precision and skill that was exhibited to make the image.
- Overall Beauty: How aesthetically beautiful the image is. Winning images should be colorful, detailed, have high graphic resolution, and look gorgeous.
Submissions are open to all Lineage II players who meet the following criteria:
- Be 13 years of age or older by November 24, 2010.
- Be a legal resident of the United States (excluding the State of Rhode Island, and excluding Guam, Puerto Rico, U.S. territories, military installations and commonwealths), Canada (excluding Quebec), or the European Union.
- Have an active Lineage II account (trial accounts and inactive accounts are not included).
- Have Internet access, an email account, and access to a personal computer.
