As we approach the Goddess of Destruction update, we're encouraging players to level up so that they can experience the many exciting changes that this massive game update will bring. To help players achieve their goals, we're hosting a full week of double experience points, skill points, drop rates and spoil rates! Also, we're announcing our second Rewards NPC, Nevit's Herald, who will help you make the most of this event!
Double XP/SP
- All experience points and skill points gained from hunting monsters are doubled. This stacks with all Vitality-related items, but experience points gained from quests are not doubled.
- Just like during a Double XP/SP Weekend like we've hosted before, this server-wide setting affects all characters regardless of class, level, and account type.
Double Drop/Spoil
- Item drop rates and spoil rates are doubled.
- Adena drop quantity is doubled.
- Seal Stone drop quantities and drop rates are doubled.
- Applies to raid bosses and regular drops.
Rewards NPC: Nevit's Herald
You met our first Rewards NPC, Angel Cat, during the Player Appreciation Weeks last month. Amusingly, you've also already met our second Rewards NPC: Nevit's Herald. This NPC was added to the game with the High Five update in February 2011. Any time Antharas or Valakas is killed, Nevit's Herald appears in all towns to give the Fall of the Dragon buff to all characters. Nevit's Herald normally remains in the game for only 3 hours. Now, Nevit's Herald moonlights as a Rewards NPC and she will be with us for the whole Double XP & Drops Week event.
- Nevit's Herald gives the Fall of the Dragon buff. This buff freezes your character's current Recommendation and Hunting Bonus timers for 3 hours.
- Since Nevit's Herald will be with us all week, you can get the Fall of the Dragon buff from her any time you want, as long as you don't already have the buff. So, when the buff wears off after 3 hours, you can go back to town right away and get the buff from her again.
The Double XP & Drops Week event will begin and end with the regular weekly maintenances on the Wednesdays of August 17 and August 24. All characters will have their vitality filled to max on the day the event begins. Since in July 2011, a vitality refill happens with every weekly maintenance.
